You will receive your welcome email on Sunday, October 20th and we’ll get started Monday, October 21st. The final day will be on Friday, November 15th.
This program is not just about having an intellectual understanding of body image struggles, but about putting solutions into practice. If you work through each lesson and corresponding assignment, you’ll be putting this process to work to heal your relationship with your body. Plus you’ll get access to our private community of supportive, like-minded women.
This could be an excellent addition to your ED recovery, but it is absolutely NOT a stand-alone solution. We are not ED clinicians and we are not qualified in anyway to treat you. We encourage you to seek clinical support and would be happy to provide personal referrals for you. Whether you have an active ED or are in the early stages of recovery, attempting a program like this could potentially worsen your ED because your body cues could be unreliable. Yes! If you struggle with body image or your physical appearance in any capacity, this program was made for you. Even if you don’t have a clinical eating disorder, that doesn’t mean you’re immune to disordered eating patterns, or body image/body acceptance issues.
It depends. But short answer: not a ton. You could go nuts with the journaling prompts and exercises, but the daily emails will not take much time to read. Most of our meditations around 10 minutes or less. And the group is for you to pop in and out of as you please. As for the group calls, except about one hour a week.
For this program, we do not. Since it is time-bound and members start receiving lessons and guidance right away, it’s hard to not get something out of the program from the start so long as you work through the content and show up for calls. We are also humans and know life happens, and should something come up that prevents you from taking part, we’ll figure it out!
We’ll have multiple options each week and highly encourage you to join. But if, for some reason, there’s a week you just can’t make it happen, the calls will be recorded and everyone will have access to the replays.
